Dr. Wendy Ungar

Health Economics Lead, University of Toronto

Dr. Ungar is a Professor at the University of Toronto's Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation and is an affiliate scientist with the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences (ICES). She is the Program Director for the International Master’s in Health Technology Assessment and Management at the University of Toronto, and started Technology Assessment at Sick Kids (TASK) which is the world’s leading research unit devoted to child health and technology assessment. Dr. Ungar’s research focuses on special challenges in applying health economic methods to children, and developing new health economic modelling approaches to link screening, diagnosis, and treatment interventions for chronic pediatric conditions.
