Dr. Pat Mirenda

Vancouver Lead

Dr. Mirenda is a Professor in the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology and Special Education at the University of British Columbia. She is the Director of UBC’s Centre for Interdisciplinary Research and Collaboration in Autism (CIRCA), which support collaborative projects for research and capacity building in BC. She is also a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA-D) and teaches courses on inclusive education, augmentative communication, autism, and positive behavior supports. She is currently investigating the effectiveness of a province-wide parent coaching intervention for toddlers at risk for autism spectrum disorder.
